Insight To Wellbeing

An Evidence-Based, Human Approach to Wellbeing

Discover the Power of
the Insight to Wellbeing Program

Insight to Wellbeing is our core programme, delivered in prisons and in the community.

It’s a group-based course that creates a safe space for people to step back and see something new about how their experience works - from the inside out - and how this influences their decisions and behaviour.

Rather than focusing on external circumstances, we help people understand how their state of mind shapes how they see and respond to life.

At the heart of this is a simple truth: people are not broken - they have an innate capacity for clarity, resilience, and wellbeing. When they see more clearly, that capacity begins to come through.

Program Overview

Built on the understanding that no one is broken, this program creates space for participants to explore how the mind works, how thought influences their experience, and how insight can open the door to greater clarity, stability, and choice.

Each week, groups of 10 to 20 participants gather for guided conversations, reflection, and meaningful learning in a safe and supportive environment. Sessions are typically 1 to 1.5 hours and are designed to encourage self-discovery, connection, and personal growth.

Through this process, participants begin to recognize the wisdom and wellbeing that already exists within them. This deeper understanding can support people navigating difficult life experiences such as trauma, addiction, incarceration, emotional stress, and everyday challenges.

When people feel more settled and clear, they tend to make better decisions - in the moment and over time. We see this reflected in reduced reoffending, and in more positive engagement with education, work, and relationships.

“For years I thought there was something wrong with me.

I spent so much time caught up in my head and trying to fix myself. This course helped me see that maybe I'm not broken after all.

Things still happen. I still have bad days. But I don't get stuck in them like I used to. I know now that underneath all the noise, I'm okay. That has changed a lot for me.”

- BT

“The biggest thing I learned was that I don't have to listen to every thought that comes into my head.

That sounds simple, but it made a huge difference. I used to react to everything I was thinking and feeling.

Now I can let things settle down before I act. I feel calmer, I get on better with people, and life doesn't feel as heavy as it used to.”

- ER

These shifts have real-world impact.

Our approach is supported by evidence-based research, including independent evaluation of the Insight to Wellbeing programme, which has shown significant improvements in wellbeing, emotional regulation, and behaviour. These sustainable changes come from a deeper understanding that people begin to see for themselves

“I came into the class carrying a lot of stuff from my past. But I’m realising that my past isn't who I am.

There is more to me than the mistakes I've made or the things that have happened to me. For the first time in a long time, I feel hopeful about my future.”

- JR-H

“This programme helped me see people differently. I used to think everyone was against me.

Now I can see that everybody is dealing with their own shit. I've become less angry, more patient, and my relationships with family and other people are better because of it. I feel more connected to life and to the people around me.”
